The Eaton UPS 3P Ellipse 700 with USB FR is a compact uninterruptible power supply with off-line topology that protects electronics in homes and offices. This uninterruptible power supply uses an off-line topology, which powers appliances directly from the mains during normal operation and instantly switches to the battery in the event of a power failure. It achieves a real power output of 420W and an apparent power of 700VA with a power factor of 0.6. The operating efficiency at full load is 97%, which reduces energy consumption and heat loss. The unit operates with an input voltage of 230V in a wide range from 184V to 264V, which can be adjusted via software.
Backup time and battery management
The backup time at 100% load is 1 minute, extending to 9 minutes at 50% load, which provides enough time to save work and safely shut down systems. Integrated battery management includes automatic testing to verify the battery's condition and protection against deep discharge. The user can easily replace the battery when needed, thereby extending the life of the entire device. Additionally, the cold start function starts the UPS even without an input power supply.
Protection and smart features
The device protects connected electronics from damage caused by power surges. It communicates with a computer via the USB interface and, in conjunction with the Eaton UPS Companion software, automates the safe shutdown of the operating system during a prolonged power outage. This software also displays data on energy consumption and UPS status. The automatic shutdown function contributes to the protection of connected devices.

For connecting appliances, there are three type E sockets with battery backup and surge protection, and one additional socket with surge protection only. Input power is supplied via a standard C14 connector.
