The EATON 5E1600UD UPS operates on a line-interactive principle, delivering a stable power supply for connected devices. It provides an apparent power of 1600VA and a real power of 900W, covering the needs of workstations, small servers, and other sensitive electronics. Thanks to its compact tower design with dimensions of 180×133×330mm, you can easily place it under or next to a desk. This line-interactive UPS integrates an Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) function, which corrects undervoltage and overvoltage without switching to the battery. For management and communication with a computer, it includes an HID-compliant USB port for easy integration with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Its efficiency at full load reaches 95%.

Performance and voltage regulation

This line-interactive UPS stabilises the output without switching to the battery across a wide input voltage range of 140–300V, thanks to its Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) function. It provides an apparent power of 1600VA and a real power of 900W, which corresponds to the power needs of workstations or small servers. The efficiency reaches 95% at full load. Power during an outage is supplied by two built-in, sealed lead-acid batteries with 12V and 7Ah parameters. The UPS supports a cold start, allowing you to turn on connected devices directly from the battery without mains power. Built-in protection circuits protect the battery from deep discharge and connected devices from voltage spikes.

Connectivity of the EATON 5E1600UD UPS

A USB port is used for communication with a computer, which is fully HID-compliant and does not require driver installation for basic functions in Windows, macOS, and Linux systems. The included Eaton UPS Companion software is used for safe system shutdown during an outage, monitoring energy consumption, and detailed configuration of the UPS parameters. Input to the UPS is provided by a permanently attached 1.2-metre cable ending in a standard Schuko plug. Four Schuko (DIN) type output sockets, located on the rear panel, are used to power appliances. The connectivity is also complemented by a communication USB port.
