EATON UPS 9E 3000i Rack 2U

The Eaton 9E 3000i UPS is a rack-mountable uninterruptible power supply with an online double-conversion topology, delivering an apparent power of 3000VA and a real power of 2700W. This solution reliably protects servers, network components and other IT equipment in 19" racks. By continuously regenerating power, it protects sensitive electronics from all mains power faults, including outages, surges and frequency deviations. At full load, it powers connected devices for 8.5 minutes, while at half load, the time extends to 23 minutes. A high operating efficiency of up to 98% reduces energy consumption and heat loss. The clear LCD provides an instant overview of the unit's status and measured values.

Online topology and high efficiency

This online rack UPS uses double-conversion technology, which completely isolates connected equipment from mains power problems. The supply continuously regenerates the input voltage and delivers a clean, stable sine wave at the output without any interruption when switching to battery power. With a real power of 2700W and a power factor of 0.9, it optimises the power supply for modern IT loads. An exceptional efficiency of up to 98% in online mode significantly reduces operating costs for energy and cooling. In the event of a UPS fault or overload, the internal automatic bypass activates to maintain power to the connected devices.

Batteries and backup time

Inside the unit are six maintenance-free, sealed lead-acid batteries (6× 12V / 9Ah) that are easily user-replaceable without having to shut down connected equipment. Advanced battery management extends their lifespan and optimises charging time through temperature compensation. The system performs automatic tests and protects the batteries from deep discharge. The standard backup time is 23 minutes at half load. For applications requiring longer runtimes, up to four external battery modules (EBMs) can be connected to the UPS, significantly extending the system's total autonomy.

This model allows for easy integration into standard 19" rack cabinets, where it occupies 2U of height. Its compact dimensions of 438 × 86.5 × 608mm make installation easy, even in densely populated racks. The built-in graphical LCD clearly displays the status and key parameters, such as voltage, frequency, load level and remaining backup time. A low operating noise level of under 45dB at a distance of one metre means it can be deployed in a standard office environment. The unit includes a terminal block for remote power off (RPO).
