ECOCOSE Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

Niacinamide (otherwise known as nicotinamide or vitamin PP) is a water-soluble vitamin from the B vitamin group (specifically B3). Scientific studies have long shown that niacinamide can reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and acne. But Niacinamide is also a great fighter against aging. As we age, the production of proteins such as collagen decreases, leading to wrinkles and loss of firmness. It is believed that niacinamide slows down the formation of wrinkles by increasing collagen production. This vitamin B3 derivative is typically formulated into products such as serums and creams, and for these claimed benefits, it is ideal to use twice daily. However, they can also be combined with other products that soothe and brighten the skin. Usually, niacinamide is paired with another elixir of youth, hyaluronic acid.
A clinical study revealed that using a 5% niacinamide moisturizer twice daily reduced the appearance of wrinkles after 8 weeks and significantly improved skin elasticity after 12 weeks.
