Eglo RIGA 3 E27-ESL-2U 1× 15W
The Eglo RIGA garden light in a classic style serves to illuminate outdoor areas, such as access paths, terraces or the entrance areas of houses. The recessed floor light is installed directly into the ground, where it blends in with the surrounding terrain. The construction resists external influences and can even withstand the load of being walked on or driven over. The ground light requires connection to the mains with a voltage of 230V. The manufacturer supplies the exterior light without a light source; a bulb with an E27 cap must be purchased separately as a separate accessory.
Key Features of the Eglo RIGA 3 E27-ESL-2U 1× 15W Garden Light
- Recessed floor light designed for outdoor use
- Stainless steel construction with a white plastic shade
- IP67 rating ensures it is dustproof and protected against water
- The construction can withstand a load of up to 500kg
- E27 cap for a light source with a power input of up to 16W
- Light source is not included in the package
Construction
The body of the light is made of stainless steel, which resists corrosion and physical wear and tear in the exterior. The upper part is complemented by a white plastic surface through which light from the source passes. The metal body with a diameter of 170mm requires a corresponding cut-out in the substrate during installation. The total height of the light is 285mm. The net weight of the product is 0.91kg.
Dust and Water Resistance
The light has an IP67 rating, which indicates complete protection against dust ingress. The construction also withstands temporary immersion in water and protects the internal electronics during heavy rain or melting snow. The seal prevents moisture from penetrating the interior of the light. This contributes to safe, year-round outdoor operation.
Load Capacity
Once correctly installed, the construction can withstand pressure up to a weight of 500kg. The light, with product number 86189, can be placed on the walkable surfaces of terraces or in the paving near house entrances. The high load capacity protects the product from damage when accidentally stepped on or walked over. The light thus remains safely recessed in the ground even in places with regular and intensive foot traffic.
Light Source Compatibility
The light contains one E27 type cap, which works with various types of bulbs. The user can choose a LED source or an energy-saving bulb according to their own preferences. The total permitted power input of the installed source is 16W; this output is sufficient for providing orientation lighting for paths. The user inserts the bulb under the protective plastic cover.
Mounting and Power Supply
The recessed mounting method requires the preparation of a hole in the ground or in the terrace floor. The light is connected directly to the mains supply with a voltage of 220 to 240V and a frequency of 50/60Hz. The cable connection requires professional installation according to regulations for outdoor electrical installations. Correct wiring will prevent water from getting to the supply conductors. The product falls into protection class 2.
