Originál mead is the flagship product of the Elisa brand. Its unique bittersweet taste comes from a carefully selected blend of honey, herbs, and spices.

Key features of Elisa Originál mead

• A traditional, authentic mead from Nivnice, Elisa has been made to an original family recipe since 1973
• It is made from the finest Czech honeys using a cold process to preserve all the important substances found in bee honey. After fermentation, it matures in deep, air-conditioned cellars.
• Its base is honey and water treated with Bio Control System technology, while a mixture of herbs and spices gives the mead its unmistakable flavour
• Refreshing in summer and warming in winter, the mead can be enjoyed either chilled or heated
• In the summer months, it is wonderfully refreshing served at a temperature of 12–16°C
• In winter, heat the mead in an uncovered pot to a maximum temperature of 50–60°C, ensuring it does not boil
• A slice of lemon can be added to both cold and hot mead
