Real-time vehicle details and function control
The system displays dozens of indicators that the standard Tesla interface does not show. The driver has an overview of the current speed, the temperature of the battery, power utilization, recovery values, the temperature of the engines, charging statistics (kWh AC/DC), the condition of the air conditioning and many other parameters. There is also an indication of vehicles in a blind spot or Autopilot status including alerts and warnings. The information helps you to better understand the vehicle's condition and plan your charging or driving style more effectively. The S3XY Dash is not just for passive data tracking, but allows active interaction with the vehicle. By connecting to the Commander, the user can activate more than 50 different vehicle functions directly from the display or via the steering wheel controls. These include preheating the battery before you arrive at the charger, adjusting the strength of the recuperation, controlling the seat heating, air conditioning, opening the glove box and more. Integration with the right scroll button on the steering wheel or the optional S3XY Knob rotary control allows actions to be performed conveniently without the driver having to search for functions in the central display menu.
User customisation, OTA updates and development
You can customize the entire S3XY Dash interface. The display uses widgets of different types and sizes. The user chooses which information he wants to display and in what order. You can change the style of the speedometer, graphically display selected values (e.g. percentage of battery in the vertical column), etc. You have up to 8 definable screens to switch between manually or based on context. For example, when Autopilot is activated, it can automatically switch from the normal screen to a different layout that shows estimated arrival time, remaining range and percentage of battery at destination. When charging, it can automatically display charging statistics and battery status. Like the Tesla cars themselves, the S3XY Dash is continually improving with over-the-air (OTA) software updates. Enhance is continuously adding new features and improvements based on community input. Users can look forward to their dashboard being able to do more and more - making the S3XY Dash a future-ready device that won't become obsolete even with new versions of automotive software.
Flexible location, installation and commissioning
The S3XY Dash can be installed in two ways depending on driver preference. The recommended position is up behind the steering wheel at the bottom edge of the windscreen - the ideal position for a head-up display. Keep an eye on key data without taking your eyes off the road. Alternatively, the display can be mounted directly behind the steering wheel using the supplied magnetic (MagSafe) bracket, which resembles a traditional alarm clock in front of the driver. The second option facilitates possible frequent touch control, but partially restricts airflow from the on-board fans. The installation of S3XY Dash is designed to be simple and safe for the average user. No intervention in the vehicle structure, no drilling or permanent modifications to the dashboard are required. The display is either snapped into place with the magnetic holder or glued on with the included 3M pad. The recommended location is at the bottom edge of the windscreen, where it acts almost like a see-through HUD display and minimally distracts from what's happening on the road.
