Erdomed 225 mg is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract accompanied by mucus production and wet cough, such as bronchitis, acute pharyngitis and laryngitis, etc. The preparation contains the medicinal substance erdosteine, which reduces the viscosity of mucus, making it easier to cough. It also helps in the removal of mucus and phlegm secretions from the upper respiratory tract, e.g. in rhinitis or inflammatory sinus disease. Erdosteine is rapidly absorbed and the effect is seen after about 3-4 days of treatment. In addition, the modern dosage form of granules for the preparation of suspension with orange flavour supports drinking, which is important in respiratory diseases.
Only on a doctor's recommendation, the product can also be used in cases of chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), in bronchial asthma with excessive mucus production and bronchiectasis, and is also used to prevent complications after surgery such as pneumonia.

Dosage and method of use of Erdomed
Dosing Adult: The recommended dose of the product is one sachet (225 mg) 2-3 times a day.
Adults over 12 years(with body weight over 30 kg): The recommended dose of the product is one sachet (225 mg) 2 times a day. Do not take the product at bedtime.
Method of preparation: Mix the contents of the sachet in approximately 120 ml (half the contents of a normal glass) of room temperature liquid (water, tea). Drink the resulting suspension immediately. Do not take the product for more than 7 days without consulting your doctor. Do not take the product at bedtime.
Ingredients
The active substance is erdosteinum 225 mg in one sachet. Excipients are sucrose, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), Colloidal hydrated silica (E 551), sucralose (E 955), orange flavor powder, racemic malic acid (E 296).
It does not contain gluten or lactose.
Contraindications
Erdomed 225 mg granules for oral suspension contains the medicinal substance erdosteine. A medicine for internal use. Read the package leaflet carefully.
Do not take Erdomed 225 mg if you are allergic to erdosteine or any other ingredient in this product or to substances containing free sulfhydryl (SH-) groups (e.g. acetylcysteine in cough medicines), if you have a liver disorder, if you have a kidney disorder, if you have homocysteinuria (an inborn error of metabolism).
If you have problems with coughing (e.g. you have a decreased cough reflex), or you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. Do not take the medicine for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor, or if the cough is accompanied by fever, rash or headache, or if you cough up mucus mixed with blood or pus, see a doctor.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Erdomed 225 mg Granules for Oral Suspension.
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and bag after "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
