Essentiale forte 600 mg are hard capsules containing essential soy phospholipids (phospholipida sojae desoleata). These phospholipids are part of cell membranes and in liver diseases they are incorporated into liver cells, where they help their regeneration and proper function. Use in liver inflammation and liver disease caused by toxic-metabolic damage (e.g. due to alcohol, drugs, chemicals or mushroom poisoning) to relieve problems such as loss of appetite or pressure in the right epigastrium. It is intended for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age and supports liver cell regeneration, fat metabolism and bile stabilization.
Dosage
Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over:
1 hard capsule 3 times a day (total of 1800 mg of soy phospholipids per day). The capsules are swallowed whole, washed down with a sufficient amount of liquid, preferably during a meal.
Duration of treatment:
At least 1-3 months is recommended, the first improvement can be expected after 4 weeks.
Contraindications
Essentiale forte 600 mg should not be used in case of allergy to the medicinal substance phospholipida sojae desoleata, as well as in case of hypersensitivity to peanuts, soy or any other ingredient contained in the product. Due to lack of data, this medication is not intended for children under 12 years of age. It is also not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there is insufficient safety information available. During treatment, it is necessary to follow a liver diet and completely avoid alcohol, as it could worsen the condition of the liver and the effect of the drug.
Notice
Do not take if you are allergic to the drug, soy, peanuts or any other ingredient in the product. Not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding, insufficient data available. Children under 12 years of age - the product is not indicated, due to insufficient data. The soybean oil in the product may cause severe allergic reactions in sensitive persons. It contains a small amount of alcohol (20 mg in one capsule), with no noticeable effect. Treatment with the product does not replace adherence to a liver diet and cannot prevent liver damage with continued use of harmful substances (e.g. alcohol). The effect of anticoagulants (blood thinners) may be affected, the dose of these drugs may require adjustment. If difficulties (e.g. loss of appetite, pressure in the right epigastrium) does not improve or worsens within 4 weeks, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
Storage
Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Keep in the original packaging to protect the product from moisture. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the box and blister (EXP - refers to the last day of the month stated).
