Construction and materials of the Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact case
The chassis is defined by the iconic angled mesh on the front, which ensures an unrestricted supply of fresh air to the internal components. The left side is enclosed by a screwless tempered glass side panel, providing an unobstructed view of the installed hardware and using a top latching mechanism for easy handling. The all-metal panels dampen hard drive vibrations and increase the overall stability of the structure. You can easily remove the top panel, which significantly simplifies component installation and interior access during maintenance.
Cooling system and airflow
The case comes with three factory-installed Dynamic X2 fans, with two units drawing air in from the front and one exhausting it at the rear. You can expand the cooling system to up to seven fans or take advantage of the support for radiators up to 360mm at the front and smaller variants at the top. The open internal layout creates a smooth airflow path from intake to exhaust without unnecessary obstructions, keeping the temperatures of key components low even under heavy load.
Hardware support inside the Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact
The interior accommodates ATX, mATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards and provides plenty of space for powerful components. The space allows for the installation of a graphics card up to 341mm long while keeping the front fan, or even more without it. The CPU cooler has sufficient height for most tower models on the market. A full-length shroud covers the power supply, concealing excess cabling and the hard drive cage, which contributes to the clean look of the build.
Connectivity and cable management
The front panel offers a modern interface, including a USB Type-C port for fast data transfer and charging of mobile devices. Cable management is made easy with integrated cable routing guides with velcro straps and ample space behind the motherboard. Maintenance is simplified by nylon dust filters located at the front, top, and bottom, which you can easily remove and clean to maintain optimal airflow.
