Option to save your own settings
The controls are based on the analogue tradition, so instead of having to navigate through complicated menus, key functions are literally at your fingertips. The classic shutter speed dial offers both specific exposure times as well as "A" for aperture priority mode and "P" for full auto mode. There's also an exposure compensation dial and a control lever for switching VIEW MODE, changing aspect ratio, or adjusting the digital teleconverter's magnification. One of the most striking design features is the newly designed movie simulation selector. It not only offers iconic colour profiles, but also the ability to save your own settings in three user positions. The precision-carved indicator window is a testament to the attention to detail and craftsmanship that makes the X-E5 not only a tool, but a design gem.
The joy of every shot
The FUJIFILM X-E5 isn't just beautiful to look at - it's a camera designed to make you enjoy every shot. The stylish viewfinder, analogue controls and sophisticated ergonomics combine to encourage creativity and allow you to fully immerse yourself in photography. The electronic 0.39" OLED colour rangefinder-style viewfinder is subtly positioned on the left side of the upper body and offers 2.36 million dot resolution, 0.62× magnification and 100% coverage. This provides an accurate preview of the resulting photo. In Simple View mode, the viewfinder turns into a clear view reminiscent of a classic analog SLR - only exposure information remains on the screen, nothing more. In addition, you can choose between three Surround View modes - either displaying the outer edge of the image as a line-bounded cutout, a semi-transparent area, or completely obscured when shooting in an aspect ratio other than 16:9, making it easier to control composition outside the main frame. For viewing images, navigating through menus and creating shots from unusual angles, there's a rear-facing 3" LCD with touch controls that can be flipped up and forward up to 180° and a resolution of 1.04 million dots. Its flexibility and sharpness ensure comfortable work in any situation.
Stability in motion
Despite its compact size, the X-E5 brings powerful in-body five-axis image stabilization (IBIS) for the first time in the series. As a result, it can effectively suppress shake by up to 7 EV in the centre of the frame and 6 EV at the edges. The result is sharp images even at longer exposure times, without the need for a tripod. The stabilization system was designed with photographers and filmmakers who are constantly on the move in mind. The new algorithm together with an improved gyro sensor ensures smooth and accurate performance even when shooting video or stills in challenging lighting conditions.
Performance without compromise
The state-of-the-art 40.2Mpx X-Trans CMOS 5 HR APS-C sensor is complemented by the powerful X-Processor 5 image processor. Thanks to a new sensor architecture and improved algorithms, the X-E5 can capture images with exceptional sharpness and minimal noise even at higher sensitivities. The base ISO has been lowered to 125, which has a positive effect on the subtlety and clarity of the image. In addition, the ISO range can be extended up to 64-51,200 for still photography and 25,600 for video recording. X-Processor 5 offers twice the computing power of the previous generation and supports modern formats such as HEIF. At the same time, it significantly reduces power consumption, so even with heavy use, the X-E5 remains a reliable partner all day long. The higher resolution also allows for greater creativity when cropping images. Using the built-in digital teleconverter, 1.4x or 2.0x zoom can be activated without changing the lens, which is useful for travel or discreet street photography, for example.
AI-assisted autofocus
Thanks to advanced AI technology, X-E5 can recognize and track a wide range of objects - from people to animals, cars, motorcycles, trains and planes to birds and even insects. Auto Focus System dynamically adapts to these scenes in real time, so you can focus on composition. In addition, the camera uses an improved predictive algorithm to ensure reliable focusing even when continuously shooting fast-moving subjects. The improvements to autofocus are most notable in Zone AF mode and low-contrast scenes, where the camera responds faster and more accurately than ever before.

Your colours, your style
Building on 90 years of experience in colour rendering, Fujifilm brings 20 film simulations to the X-E5 that faithfully replicate the look of classic analogue film. These include popular modes such as PROVIA, Velvia, Classic Chrome and the new REALA ACE. Each one offers a unique atmosphere - from soft pastel tones to bold contrast and rich colours. You can easily switch between simulations using the handy rotary dial right on top of the camera. In addition to the preset modes, it offers three positions (FS1-FS3) that you can customize to your taste and save as personal "recipes". This allows you to create your own visual signature that you can have at your fingertips at any time. The X-E5 also offers additional creative tools such as Grain Effect to add fine film grain with adjustable size and intensity. colour Chrome and colour Chrome FX Blue highlight tones in red, green, yellow or blue without losing detail, which you'll especially appreciate in high-saturation scenes.
