Outstanding image quality

This is the first model with the newly-developed 24.3MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor. It has the highest ever pixel count for an X series camera and brings with it several other considerable enhancements. Phase Detection pixels cover a larger area for faster and more accurate autofocus, high ISO sensitivity up to 12,800 (extendable to 51,200) can be used with confidence and the newly developed X-Processor increases processing speed. To reduce delays when focusing on fast moving objects the display rate is increased to 85fps (compared to normal EVF cameras with 54fps). This model also supports compressed RAW, which allows for better data handling.

The advanced hybrid viewfinder

Fujifilm links optical and electronic viewfinders in a single unit that offers three display modes. The newly added Electronic rangefinder and optical viewfinder allow the user to control the focus, angle, exposure and white balance in real time. The improved design and viewfinder with diopter adjustment is a real boon.

Made for harsh conditions

The camera's body is made of magnesium and its construction resists dust, splashed water and frost. The camera is built to function in every situation, no matter what you intend to photograph and in all weather. There are two slots for SD cards. Slot 1 offers compatibility with standard UHS-II. 

The camera is equipped with an electronic focal-plane shutter with a maximum speed of 1/8000. When using flash photography it has a synch time of 1/250 sec. It operates silently and has a maximum speed of 1/32000 that allows the use of high aperture even in bright light.
