EA SPORTS Hockey I. Q. – An innovative artificial intelligence system controls the behaviour of players, goalkeepers and entire teams. Previously, players were only aware of other players in their immediate vicinity and goalies only reacted to players who had the puck. As part of EA SPORTS Hockey I. Q. However, all players are now aware of the presence of every teammate and opponent on the ice and are able to make faster, smarter and more realistic decisions.
GM Connected – A top fictional league with teammates. This mode is based on the most popular off-line mode in the EA SPORTS NHL series, Be a GM, and allows you to play against or with friends in your own 30-team NHL. Whether you're a seasoned sports gamer or have only a superficial understanding of the job of a general manager, the mode offers you a wide range of options for managing your entire club, including direct coaching and match play. In addition, virtual general managers will be able to keep an eye on what's going on at the club when they're not at their consoles via a mobile app that ensures they don't miss anything important.
NHL Moments Live – Rewrite the history of the most exciting and thrilling moments in the best league in the world. NHL 13 expands on a concept that has been previously introduced in other sports games: Each scenario includes a video clip from an actual NHL game at the start to give players an accurate idea of the atmosphere of the moment. The game disc will contain highlights from the 2011-12 NHL season, with new highlights from the 2012-13 NHL season to be added later in the season.
