Daily Activity Monitoring

The Fénix 3 watch offers all-day monitoring activities. It is possible to determine the target number of steps per day, track the distance travelled plus the number of steps, displays calories burned, including the passive ones. The Garmin Connect web interface also provides the possibility to evaluate and compare your performance in detail.

Appearance and the watch's design

The Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire features a 1.2" large, circular, colour display with a resolution of 218 x 218 pixels. Unlike other smart watches on the market, the display does not shine and it stands out in sharpness and excellent readability in the day. In the basic version, the watch is twenty grammes lighter than the previous generation Fenix 2 and noticeably thinner.

Swimming and skiing

Garmin Fenix 3 Sapphire is also able to measure swimming training and tracks with its built-in sensors and high resistance. In the swimming pool, the watch measures the travelled distance, SWOLF value, swimming efficiency, the number of shots and recognises swimming style. For fans of winter sports, Fenix 3 offers downhill and downhill skiing. Thanks to the built-in barometer, the watch recognises when you are skiing and when you are on a lift.

Wireless connectivity

Fenix 3 Sapphire features the ability to connect to Android and iOS smartphones via Bluetooth. The watch is then able to display your phone's notification. Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi, the watch is able to send training data or update the software without having to switch on a computer or your mobile phone. There is also the wireless ANT+ standard mainly used for the connection of fitness accessories.
