The Garmin Fenix series are iconic smartwatches known for their high durability, long battery life, and versatile sports and outdoor use. Sports functionality is one of the main reasons to choose a watch from the Garmin Fenix series. The watch uses a system of sport profiles dedicated to individual sporting activities. The watch can provide detailed navigation over the map, including turn-by-turn navigation instructions while following a route. Routes can be planned directly on the watch, in the Garmin Connect mobile app, or even using the popular Czech app Mapy.cz. An accurate position calculation is ensured by a satellite receiver with support for GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO satellite systems and a multi-band GPS receiver. Optimal satellite reception is ensured by SatIQ technology, which can automatically switch between multiple satellite signal reception modes to optimise accuracy and save power. The built-in LED torch with red and white light and adjustable intensity is a very practical tool.

The long battery life of the Garmin Fenix 8 watch allows for all-day wear without the need to take it off frequently for charging. The watch can therefore continuously measure and record daily and nightly health and activity data. This primarily includes heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen saturation, respiration rate, daily step count, floors climbed, and minutes of intense activity. From these measured metrics, the watch derives other functions and values, such as Body Battery, Stress Score, HRV Status, and temperature and altitude acclimatisation status, among others. Health monitoring functions also include features for measuring sleep duration and quality. In addition to the duration and Sleep Score value, the Garmin Fenix 8 watch also measures individual sleep stages, short naps, and provides recommendations for achieving better sleep and recovery.
Smart features to make your daily life easier
The Garmin Fenix 8 watch can be paired with smartphones running both Android and iOS. On both platforms, the watch offers the ability to make Bluetooth calls directly from your wrist, thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker (the watch does not have a built-in SIM card and requires a compatible smartphone to be connected nearby for the calling function). On both platforms, you can of course view notifications and incoming calls on the watch display. If you own an Android phone, you can also reply to messages directly from the watch's display. With the Garmin Fenix 8 watch, you can also record short voice memos or use voice assistant services.
Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatch supports Garmin Pay payments
Popular features include contactless Garmin Pay, which lets you add a digital copy of your regular payment card to your Fenix 8 watch (if your card supports the feature) and then pay with the watch in a similar way to using a payment card. Another popular gadget is the built-in music player with support for offline listening from Spotify, Deezer or Amazon Music.
