Gastrotuss baby is a medical device in the form of a syrup for the treatment of gastroesophageal and/or laryngopharyngeal reflux in infants and children. Helps healing of the disrupted mucous membrane of the pharynx and oesophagus.
Dosage
Infants up to 5 kg:
2,5-3 ml syrup
Infants and children under 3 years of age:
5 ml
Children under 12 years of age:
10-20 ml syrup
Take after meals and at bedtime unless otherwise recommended by your physician. If the child continues to vomit after taking the medicine, give 1 ml of extra medicine.
Method of use
The medical remedy Gastrotuss is an antireflux syrup with mechanical action, without overall effects on the organism. It contains magnesium alginate, a substance of plant origin that is extracted from seaweed. In the acidic environment of the stomach, alginate forms a gel barrier on the surface of the gastric lake, but does not interfere with important processes taking place in the body (e.g. mechanisms of digestion, absorption of important nutrients, influence on stool, etc.). This protective layer protects the oesophagus from irritation by the acidiccondition of the stomach. In reflux, it is not the acidic contents of the stomach that enter the oesophagus, but a pH-neutral gel made up of alginate. Other active ingredients are simethicone, which counteracts flatulence, and D-Panthenol, which promotes healing and regeneration of the oesophageal and pharyngeal mucosa. The syrup soothes irritation, banishes unpleasant burning sensation and irritation on coughing, reduces flatulence and burping, and hasregenerative and anti-inflammatory effects.
