Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng) is native to areas of northeastern China, Korea and Russia. It is known for its adaptogenic properties and has been used in China for thousands of years. Ginsenosides are the main bioactive components in ginseng roots. They are triterpenoid saponins. Ginseng extracts are often standardized for ginsenoside content to ensure consistent product quality and potency. 5-8% ginsenosides means that the extract contains 5-8% ginsenosides, ensuring that the product has a sufficient amount of active ingredients. Ginseng roots are carefully collected, cleaned and dried. The dried roots are then ground into a fine powder. Ginseng root powder is subjected to an extraction process. This process extracts ginsenosides and other bioactive components from the plant material. The extract is further concentrated and undergoes a purification process to remove impurities and unwanted substances. The concentrated extract is tested and standardized for ginsenoside content. Standardization to 5-8% ginsenosides ensures consistent quality and potency of the extract.

The entire production process is certified according to IFS Food
Why did we replace ISO 22000:2018 certification with IFS Food? IFS Food is a globally recognized certification for the safety and quality of food products designed for quality audits of production processes and products. A single internationally recognised food standard helps to ensure consistent safety and the highest possible quality of food worldwide. The German (HDE), French (FCD) and Italian (ANCC, ANCD) retail associations in cooperation with the manufacturers participated in the development of the IFS standards.

What does IFS certification tell us about
- About the high quality of the raw materials used
