- Astaxanthin powder 5% is a concentrated form of the natural carotenoid pigment astaxanthin, which is standardized to contain 5% pure astaxanthin. The 5% concentration ensures that even a small amount of powder provides a high dose of astaxanthin. This is found in certain microalgae. After optimal growth is achieved, the algae is harvested and dried. Subsequently, astaxanthin is extracted. The extracted astaxanthin is purified and concentrated. It is then converted into powder form through processes such as spray drying and freeze drying. Astaxanthin is fat soluble, which means it mixes well with oils and fats.
