TMG
TMG stands for trimethylglycine. Trimethylglycine is an amino acid derivative that is found in plants. Trimethylglycine was the first betaine discovered. Originally, it was simply called betaine because it was discovered in sugar beets in the 19th century. Betaine is found in many plants such as broccoli or spinach and beet molasses, as well as in seafood. Betaine is an important nutrient for the prevention of chronic disease and helps maintain liver, heart and kidney health.
