HemaGel® PROCTO is intended to promote healing of acute and chronic wounds of the rectal mucosa in patients with fissures and hemorrhoids, including patients after Baron's ligature. Further to reduce bleeding in patients with indications of bleeding hemorrhoids and to eliminate unpleasant sensations (discomfort) especially burning and itching in the rectal area.
Target group and limitations of use
The suppositories are intended for adult patients. Consult a physician before use in children or in pregnant or nursing women. In rectal diseases, it is especially important to take care of hygiene and regular bowel movements. Therefore, it is necessary to drink sufficient fluids, eat a low-spicy diet and increase the intake of fiber.
How to proceed when using a suppository
The suppositories are inserted into the rectum, preferably after stool and after washing, with the rounded end into the rectum. Separate 1 suppository from the strip at the point of perforation, tear the wrapper with a slight pull and remove the suppository. With the rounded end first, insert it deep into the anus, preferably in a slight bend.
Dosage
Unless otherwise directed by your physician, HemaGel® PROCTO suppository is inserted once daily, preferably at night.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the product ingredients, insufficient rectal length (in children under 3 months of age or premature babies). Other contraindications are relative and therefore the use of suppositories in the above cases should be consulted with a doctor: constipation, diarrhea, serious illness, massive bleeding or post-traumatic condition in the rectal area, anorectal diseases such as abscess or fistula, abdominoperineal resection.
Notice
In case of side effects, discontinue treatment and contact the treating physician. Protect from children! Do not use after the expiry date on the packaging. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Return unused or expired product to the pharmacy. Take the product max. 30 days. Manufacturer's recommendation: Consult a doctor if the symptoms do not subside within 7 days or if they worsen. The suppository is intended for single use and application into the rectum. Do not apply to other body orifices. Don't swallow. In persons with increased sensitivity, slight itching or burning in the rectum is possible, which is not harmful, but should be consulted with a doctor.
Storage
Store in a dry place at 15 - 25 °C in the original inner packaging.
