HiLook NVR-104MH-C/4P(E)
The HiLook NVR-104MH-C/4P(E) network recorder is used to record, store and manage footage from connected IP cameras. The device processes the video signal from the camera units and saves it to a SATA hard drive. The recorder supports the simultaneous connection of up to four IP cameras. A single hard drive with a capacity of up to 8TB can be used for data storage. The system uses efficient compression formats that reduce the demands on storage space and bandwidth. Users can watch the live stream and archived recordings via a mobile app or web interface.

Camera power supply
The device features four integrated ports with support for PoE power according to the IEEE 802.3 af/at standard. The total power budget for connected cameras is 50W. The system simplifies camera installation without the need for separate external power supplies for each camera. Each port provides both data transfer and power over a single Ethernet cable. The operating voltage at the output is 48V DC, making it easy to wire the entire camera system.
Video compression
The recorder supports H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264 and MPEG4 video formats. These formats significantly reduce the overall data stream and save space on the hard drive. This means users can store longer recording periods while maintaining high image quality. The device efficiently manages network bandwidth. The decoding capacity is one channel at 8MP resolution, three channels at 4MP resolution, or six channels at 1080p resolution.
Video outputs
HDMI and VGA outputs are used to display the monitored area. The HDMI interface supports resolutions up to 4K, i.e. 4096×2160 pixels at 30Hz. The VGA output provides a Full HD resolution image at 60Hz. Both outputs work simultaneously for flexible connection of display devices. The system also supports other resolutions such as 2K (2560×1440) or 720p (1280×720) at 60Hz.
Event detection and alarms
The system offers analytical functions including motion detection, intrusion detection and vehicle detection. The device triggers an alarm in unusual situations, such as signal loss or camera tampering. Users receive instant notifications on their mobile phone or via email. The recorder also has one alarm output channel for connecting external signalling devices. Motion Detection 2.0 includes human and vehicle classification on one channel.
Remote management
The entire system is managed via the web interface or the Hik-Connect mobile app. Users have access to live footage and recorded archives from anywhere in the world. The Cloud P2P service makes it easy to pair devices quickly using a QR code. The recorder supports up to 32 remote connections simultaneously. Free iVMS 4200 remote viewing software is also available for Windows and Mac computers.
Network connectivity and protocols
An RJ-45 Ethernet port with a speed of 10/100Mb/s is used to connect to the local network. The incoming bandwidth is 40Mb/s and the outgoing bandwidth is 80Mb/s. The device supports a wide range of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTPS and UPnP. There are also two USB 2.0 ports for backing up data or connecting a control mouse. In total, there are five RJ-45 Ethernet LAN ports on the recorder's body for comprehensive connectivity.
