Electro-galvanising
Electro-galvanised plating offers a more attractive, colourful finish compared to hot-dip galvanising. It provides corrosion protection for products intended for dry indoor environments where moisture is rare. The zinc coating thickness is approximately 12 microns.
The electro-galvanising process
Just like with hot-dip galvanising, the product is thoroughly cleaned and prepared before plating begins. The items are then submerged in a zinc salt bath connected to a DC power source. The pure zinc dissolves, migrates to the cathode and deposits onto its surface.
