Ceresit Special Penetrating Coating CN 94, 1 kg

Ceresit Special Penetrating Coating CN 94, 1 kg
Ceresit CN 94 is a special primer designed for treating both absorbent and non-absorbent substrates before applying levelling compounds, tile adhesives, or waterproofing slurries. Using the primer strengthens the substrate surface, reduces its absorbency, and increases the adhesion of subsequent layers, which is crucial for the long-term durability and resistance of the final finishes. The Ceresit CN 94 primer is suitable for both interior and exterior applications before applying levelling compounds, adhesive mortars, and moisture-sealing slurries on various types of substrates, including anhydrite and cement screeds, mastic asphalt, chipboard and OSB boards, existing tiles, cement, lime-cement and lime plasters, solid paint coats, aerated concrete, and gypsum substrates.
Key Features of Ceresit CN 94 Special Primer, 1kg
- Fast-drying primer, ensuring high adhesion
- Suitable for treating absorbent and non-absorbent substrates before applying levelling compounds, tile adhesives, or waterproofing slurries
- Strengthens the substrate surface and reduces its absorbency
- Increases the adhesion of subsequent layers
- Suitable for interior and exterior use and on various types of substrates
- For absorbent substrates, the concentrate can be diluted with water at a 1:3 ratio
- For non-absorbent surfaces, such as wood-based materials or mastic asphalt, applying the undiluted primer is ideal
- The primer's drying time is between 2 to 4 hours
The primer dries in 2 to 4 hours
For absorbent substrates, the Ceresit CN 94 concentrate can be diluted with water at a 1:3 ratio, while for non-absorbent surfaces such as wood-based materials or mastic asphalt, an undiluted application is recommended. The drying time for Ceresit CN 94 special primer is between 2 and 4 hours depending on the type of substrate, allowing work to proceed quickly. Once completely dry, the surface should be scratch-resistant. If it is not, it is advisable to repeat the primer application within 24 hours.
Application:
1. Surfaces primed with CERESIT CN 94 must be dry, load-bearing, and free of substances that reduce adhesion – grease, bitumen, dust, etc. Any stains and layers with poor strength must be removed – this also applies to existing adhesive paints, which must be scraped off and washed away with water.
2. Shake the container several times. The concentrate must be diluted with water (mix 1 part CN 94 with 3 parts water). For non-absorbent, wood-derived surfaces and mastic asphalt screeds, CN 94 is used undiluted.
3. Apply a thin layer of the primer. Spread evenly with a brush, do not allow puddles to form. The drying time is 2 to 4 hours, depending on the type of substrate. Once fully cured, the surface must be scratch-resistant. If it is not, the priming must be repeated within 24 hours.
