Ceresit Universal Primer CT 17 Universal, 10 l

CERESIT CT 17 Universal is a deep penetrating primer for the treatment of absorbent substrates. Increases surface strength, reduces water absorption and improves the adhesion of subsequent layers such as adhesives, paints, sealants or floor trowels. It is used indoors and outdoors before bonding ceramic tiles, levelling floors, painting or bonding insulation boards. The vapour permeable formulation is solvent free. Thanks to its fast action, it allows the application of tiles on cement and lime-cement substrates after only 15 minutes. CERESIT CT 17 Universal is surface dry in approximately 2 hours.

How to use:
1. Substrates primed with CERESIT CT 17 Profi must be dry, load-bearing and free of adhesion-reducing substances: grease, bitumen, dust, etc. Any stains and layers with poor strength must be removed. This also applies to existing adhesive paints, which must be scraped off and washed off with water.
2. Shake the CERESIT CT 17 canister several times. In the case of bonding ceramic tiles to cement and cement-lime substrates, work can be started up to 15 minutes after completion of the primer. In case of penetration of very absorbent or non-cohesive substrates, the product can be diluted with clean water in a 1:1 ratio.
3. Apply the product to the substrate with a brush or roller. Apply additional coats of CERESIT CT 17 Profi without thinning using the "wet-in-wet" method. CT 17 can be thinned with water in the case of priming the substrate before painting. If the substrate is still absorbent after the formulation has dried, it is necessary to repeat the penetration.
