Dulux Trade Weathershield Silicon Plus 10L, NCS S 7005-B

Dulux Trade Weathershield Silicon Plus silicone façade paint is designed for concrete and mineral plasters. It creates an opaque, matt, and microporous film which allows water vapour to escape from the masonry while repelling water. It contains zinc pyrithione, which protects the façade against the growth of algae and moss, and is resistant to UV radiation. The paint is applied in two coats with a brush, roller, or spray gun. Theoretical coverage is up to 16m²/L and the approximate drying time is 4 hours.

Protective properties and application

The paint is based on a silicone resin, which forms a microporous yet water-repellent film. This allows the masonry to breathe while protecting the surface from rainwater penetration. Protection against biological attack is enhanced by the inclusion of zinc pyrithione, which is effective against the growth of algae and moss. The coating also maintains its appearance thanks to its resistance to UV radiation and class 2 mechanical abrasion. The paint is applied in two coats, and it's necessary to leave a gap of approximately 4 hours between each coat.
