Dulux Trade Weathershield Silicon Plus 2.5L, NCS S 8005-B

Dulux Trade Weathershield Silicon Plus facade paint, based on silicone resin, is designed for concrete and mineral plasters. It creates an opaque, matt, and microporous film that is water-repellent. Thanks to its vapour permeability, the paint allows water vapour to escape from the masonry. It contains zinc pyrithione to prevent the growth of algae and moss, and the paint is also resistant to UV radiation. Apply in two coats by spraying, or with a brush or roller. The theoretical coverage is up to 16m²/L and the paint dries in approximately 4 hours.

Durability and protective properties

The paint creates a microporous film that is vapour-permeable, allowing the masonry to breathe. The surface is also water-repellent, which limits moisture penetration into the substrate. To protect the facade from biological attack, the paint contains zinc pyrithione, which is effective against the growth of algae and moss. The coating is also resistant to UV radiation, contributing to the colour stability of the facade. The mechanical durability of the surface is proven by its classification in Class 2 for abrasion resistance.
