Dulux Trade Weathershield Silicon Plus 5 l, NCS S 7005-B80G

Dulux Trade Weathershield Silicon Plus silicone facade paint is designed for concrete and mineral plasters. It creates an opaque, matt, and vapour-permeable film that allows water vapour to escape from the masonry while also being water-repellent. It contains zinc pyrithione, which protects the facade against the growth of algae and moss, and is resistant to UV radiation. The paint is applied in two coats with a brush, roller or by spraying. Theoretical coverage is 16m²/L and it dries in approximately 4 hours.

Durability and protective properties

The paint's base is a silicone resin that creates a microporous film. This layer is vapour-permeable, which lets the masonry breathe, but at the same time is water-repellent and protects the surface from rainwater penetration. To protect against biological attack, the paint contains the active ingredient zinc pyrithione to prevent the growth of algae and moss. The coating also resists UV radiation and normal mechanical wear and tear well, as demonstrated by its class 2 abrasion resistance rating.
