Dulux Trade Weathershield Silicon Plus silicone masonry paint is designed for concrete and mineral plasters. It creates an opaque, matt, and water-repellent film that is also vapour-permeable, allowing water vapour to escape from the masonry. It contains zinc pyrithione, which protects the facade against the growth of algae and moss, and is resistant to UV radiation. Apply in two coats with a brush, roller, or by spraying. Its theoretical coverage is 16m²/L and the approximate drying time is 4 hours.

Protective properties and application

The silicone resin-based coating creates a microporous film that is water-repellent while allowing the masonry to breathe. The protective ingredient, zinc pyrithione, prevents the growth of algae and moss on the facade surface. The paint also withstands weathering, UV radiation, and mechanical wear, as demonstrated by its class 2 abrasion resistance. For optimal results, it is recommended to apply the paint in two coats. You can apply it with a brush, roller, or high-pressure spray to a clean and sound substrate.
