HECHT String trimmer AKU 5020 (without AKU)

The HECHT 5020 cordless trimmer is ideal for finishing around fences, flower beds and walls after mowing with a lawnmower, or for cutting grass from hard-to-reach areas. The power supply is a high-quality 20 V lithium battery with a capacity of 2.5 Ah. This can power the brushcutter's electric motor for up to 25 minutes. The trimmer is equipped with a telescopic handle and adjustable cutting head angle. You can easily adjust it to your body height and the weight of just 2.2 kg makes it very easy to work with. When mowing, you will especially appreciate the quiet operation and easy handling, no power cables and no emissions. The working width of the string is always 25 cm. The 1.6 mm diameter string is wound in a single-string automatic head. Battery and charger not included.

Advantages of an electric motor

The mower's electric motor is silent and produces no smelly or toxic fumes. Compared to an internal combustion engine, you don't have to start the engine, perform regular maintenance, change oil and air filters. The electric motor is more reliable than the rather complicated internal combustion engine. However, the main disadvantage of a conventional electric machine is the need for a power cord. The cable restricts movement, and a little inattention can result in damage and possible electric shock. All these disadvantages are solved by powering the machine from a lightweight lithium battery.

Optimum mowing with the string

The cutting string is wound in a single-string automatic head. Each time the machine is started, approximately 1 cm of string is automatically unwound. If the string becomes too worn during cutting, simply switch the trimmer on and off several times until the string is unwound to the required length. If the string unwinds too much, the automatic trimmer on the cover cuts it off. This ensures an optimum cutting width of 25 cm at all times.

The Trimmer is part of the ACCU 6020 programme, which guarantees compatibility with other garden equipment. So you don't have to buy several types of batteries, you can use one battery to power a trimmer, a hedge trimmer or a garden blower. This provides the opportunity to achieve significant savings as well as maximum utilisation of the battery and charger throughout their lifetime. Chargers and lithium batteries are already included in some instruments or can be purchased separately. Accu 6020 products are fully compatible with the 000625B battery.
