PLASTIA Rotary composter DUO, 70 l

The Plastia Duo rotary composter with a volume of 70 litres is the perfect solution for efficient processing of kitchen and garden waste. Thanks to the double drum and the sophisticated mechanism with rods and ribs, the organic material is thoroughly mixed and broken down into smaller parts during the rotation, which significantly speeds up the composting process. The Plastia Duo composter can reach temperatures of over 60 °C, ensuring rapid decomposition of waste and conversion into high-quality compost.

Easy to use and quality compost

The rotation system allows easy handling - every other day you just need to turn the drum, but in the winter months it is recommended not to turn the drum, but you can still add more organic material to the composter. For optimum results, the correct ratio of carbon-rich "brown" materials to nitrogen-rich "green" materials must be maintained. Once one drum is filled, the second drum can be filled while the first drum is decomposing into compost. The finished compost can be recognised by its dark brown colour, crumbly texture and pleasant earthy smell. After emptying the drum, it is advisable to leave a small amount of finished compost as a starter culture for the next batch.
