Functional properties of peelable paint

The gold metallic pigment reacts to the colour of the substrate. To achieve a rich, deep and intense golden shade, we recommend using a black base (Racer Dip Ultra Black) as a base coat . The black background highlights the metallic sheen and provides the perfect contrast for the Orient Gold colour.
The Racer Dip Orient Gold combines cutting-edge aesthetics with functional protection:

Technological process:
Thanks to its unique formulation, this peelable paint has excellent self-levelling properties. For best results, we recommend:
1. Surface decontamination: The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of grease and dirt. The manufacturer recommends using isopropyl alcohol, which ensures 100% paint adhesion.
2. Preparing the substrate: For best results, apply 2–3 coats of black paint (Ultra Black) as a contrasting base.
3. Gold layering: Apply 4 to 6 coats of Orient Gold. Apply the first few layers lightly; subsequent layers build up the richness of the gold finish and the thickness needed for easy peeling.
4. Curing: Full mechanical strength is achieved after 24 hours.
Recommendations and maintenance:
It is not essential to apply a black undercoat beneath the gold paint, but the manufacturer recommends doing so. Gold pigment looks much better on a black background; the colour is richer and the metallic effect more pronounced. Without a dark background, gold can look rather dull. The surface is resistant to high-pressure washers and dishwasher brushes. To restore the metallic sheen, we recommend using pH-neutral detailing products once the finish has fully cured. The paint is 100% removable; despite its metallic pigment, Racer Dip remains flexible. If you decide to change it, you can simply peel the film off in one piece without damaging the original paintwork. If you follow the recommended number of coats (4–6) and degrease the surface beforehand, the paint will last for several years.
