Substrate requirements:
Dimensionally stable wooden components – wood moisture content 11–15%.
Semi-dimensionally stable and non-dimensionally stable wooden components – wood moisture content max. 18%.
Preparation:
Check the coating's compatibility, adhesion to the substrate, and colour shade with a test coat. When coating engineered wood and wood-based materials, you must apply a test coat and test its suitability for the intended application area. When renovating windows and exterior doors, we recommend sanding between coats with sandpaper (P180) or a sanding sponge. Thoroughly remove dirt, grease, and loose old coatings. Clean greyed and weathered wooden surfaces thoroughly with a brass brush to ensure optimal adhesion. Remove loose and cracked knots, as well as open resin pockets, and clean with a suitable agent (e.g., Remmers Thinner & Brush Cleaner). Pre-treat exterior wood that requires protection against rot and blue stain with a suitable wood preservative (use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use). Round off sharp edges. Follow the generally applicable rules for coatings on wood and wood materials in outdoor areas.
Application:
Mix the material well. Apply the coat. Apply in the direction of the grain. After drying, apply a mid-coat and a final coat using UV+ Varnish Stain or Oil Stain (eco). Close opened containers tightly and use them up as soon as possible. Wash tools immediately with water and detergent. Dispose of washing residues in accordance with regulations.
Drying:
Recoatable: after approx. 4 hours
Values verified in practice: 20°C temperature and 65% relative air humidity.
Low temperatures, insufficient air exchange, and high air humidity significantly prolong drying time.
Binder:
Acrylic/alkyd system
Density (20°C):
1.07g/cm³
Consumption:
approx. 100ml/m² depending on the type and absorbency of the wood
Storage:
Store in sealed original containers in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. Shelf life is at least 24 months. Use opened containers as soon as possible.
Notice:
Adhere to regulations for the protection of structural timber. Do not use on horizontal surfaces without drainage slopes and without edge radii; prevent moisture accumulation. Larger product residues must be disposed of in the original packaging in accordance with the applicable regulations. Only send completely empty packaging for recycling. Must not be disposed of with municipal waste. Do not empty into drains. Do not empty into the sink.
