Sanium System is an insecticide designed to protect ornamental plants, vegetables and apple trees against pests such as aphids, leafhoppers, whiteflies, scale insects and mealybugs in gardens and greenhouses, and potatoes against colourado potato beetle in gardens. The active ingredient, flupyradifurone, is a foliar insecticide with a systemic effect. It works on contact, but also when insects feed on the treated plants. Insects stop feeding 1–2 hours after ingestion and the insecticidal effect is visible 1 day after application. The insecticidal effect lasts for 4–6 weeks, preventing new aphid infestations for up to 8 weeks. It is also suitable for plum sawfly.
