SOILY ALOCASIA™ - Peat-Free Substrate 5L

Potzillas SOILY ALOCASIA™ substrate is a specially mixed peat-free blend for houseplants of the Alocasia genus. Its airy and permeable structure creates suitable conditions for a healthy root system, as it allows the roots to breathe while maintaining adequate moisture without the risk of waterlogging. The substrate has an organo-mineral composition, combining coconut fibre, worm humus, perlite and other components. Thanks to its low content of easily decomposable organic matter, it also helps to reduce the conditions favourable for the proliferation of fungus gnats.

Substrate composition and growing recommendations

The base of the mix is coconut fibre, which has a stable structure and a balanced pH. The substrate contains no peat, making it a more sustainable alternative to common growing mixes. We recommend mixing the substrate before planting. After planting your Alocasia, water it thoroughly to help the roots settle well. It is advisable to start fertilising approximately 4 weeks after planting, always taking into account the specific needs of your plant.
