The device can control lighting, blinds, roller shutters or even the alarm system, etc. The device can be optionally supplemented with the appropriate Homematic IP cradle covers with frame (HmIP-BRU, HmIP-BRA - not included) or, using the appropriate adapter, covers and frames from other manufacturers.

Using the Homematic IP Remote Control Action Switch
The device can operate as a switch on/off, activator/deactivator or simply as a wall-mounted double button. It offers flexible installation options with wide modularity of use in a classic design that can handle several tasks simultaneously.At the touch of a button, it provides a diverse range of solutions from simple commands to complex smart home control scenarios with Homematic IP. It can be applied to any location with a ready connection to the 230 V mains, thus ensuring almost maintenance-free operation without the need to replace batteries.
Functions
The remote control actuator (HmIP-BRC2) has two channels on each of the two buttons of the rocker switch that can distinguish between long and short button presses, allowing, for example, to switch lights on or off or to activate or deactivate the ECO heating mode. Individual buttons can be customised to your individual needs via the Homematic IP mobile app. Depending on the assigned program, each button can control multiple devices or functions of the Homematic IP smart home. Each of the buttons can be independently configured to conveniently control already connected (programmed) devices.

The connection of the Remote Control Actuator (HmIP-BRC2) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The Homematic IP mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud that allows you to set up and control your system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update device software and firmware, and pass configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app to individual smart home devices.

Installation
The remote control actuator (HmIP-BRC2) is mounted in a standard flush-mounted box with 230 V mains connection. Wireless communication offers the possibility of installation without the need for secondary cabling, which means that the actuator can be placed in the location of a prepared or existing 230 V mains power supply. Power supply from 230 V mains only. With a suitable adapter, the device can also be used with frames and covers of other brands of leading switch manufacturers (Busch-Jaeger, Gira, Merten, Berker, Jung, Düwi, Kopp etc. ) Ideal for versatile use in homes, offices, businesses, medical facilities, etc.
