Key features of the Habitat board game

Dice drafting and habitat mosaics

In each round, players select a combination of tiles and dice from their personal and the common supply, gradually expanding their own sanctuary. The dice represent the resources needed for the animals and must be placed on the corresponding habitat type to score points. The combination of drafting and tile-laying creates a balanced decision-making process between expanding the park and securing the right resources for effective development.  

Create connected areas and towers

By connecting same-coloured habitats in the game Habitat, you create larger territories that will earn you more points during the final scoring. When three tower tiles form a circle, you build an observation tower, which further increases your score – especially if you place powerful dice around it. Collect a diverse range of animal species too, as their variety will grant you extra points. 

Compete for the best park

The game Habitat is played simultaneously. All players select tiles and dice at the same time, influencing what becomes available in the common selection. At the end of the game, points are awarded for connected habitats, breeding dice, built towers, and the diversity of species in your park. The player with the highest score is the winner.
