Gather magical matter, learn powerful spells and harness mystical powers in the fascinating world of the board game Book of Spells. Players take on the roles of wizards who have gathered for the annual Super Wizard competition. During the competition, they try to fill their spellbooks with new spells. They gather around a magical vortex (here represented by a purse) that ejects various fragments of magical ingredients known as matter, some of which are unloaded onto the altar. Wizards then use this materia to learn new spells, or store its power with their companions, and gain victory points for both. The contest ends when one of the wizards completely fills his spellbook or the capacity of his companion's board. The Wizard with the most points wins this year's competition and becomes the Supreme Wizard. Collect the magic matter and handle it well. Act quickly and use your magical power as soon as possible, or wait and let it blossom in full force. The way to victory is through decision making, combinations and tactics. With a huge number of spell card combinations, you can play hundreds of unique games of the Book of Spells.

History and creators of the game
The Book of Spells was published in 2023 by the renowned Space Cowboys publishing house. Backed by Australian game designer Phil Walker-Harding, known for its successful titles such as Sushi Go! or Gizmos. The graphic side of the game was taken care of by French illustrator Cyrille Bertin, who perfectly captured the atmosphere of the magical world with his beautiful illustrations. The game quickly gained popularity among fantasy and strategy game fans and was localized into many languages, including Czech.
