Officially licensed Casey Currie's U4 Racer and licensed tyres
The Hammer Rey U4 RC car model is produced with the official license of Casey Currie's U4 Racer. It contains authentic mock-up details of the real Hammer Rey car and the model is therefore a faithful replica, processed in 1:10 scale. The model is built on licensed KMC Machete racing wheels and Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires with an aggressive tread pattern that can handle any terrain. The Hammer Rey therefore has the exact appearance of a real machine.
Inverter motor Spektrum SMART 3150Kv and transmitter Spektrum DX3
The Hamer Rey is equipped with a Spektrum 3150Kv AC motor, Spektrum Smart 130A controller and is controlled by a Spektrum SR6200A DSMR 6-channel AVC telemetry receiver that transmits Spektrum Smart telemetry data including instantaneous battery voltage. The powerful combination can handle up to 3S LiPol batteries (sold separately) and lets you cruise through the countryside at speeds of more than 60 km/h. The Spektrum DX3 transmitter, which is included in the kit, offers advanced features such as AVC technology with transmitter telemetry, indicating the capacity of the Smart Battery. Excellent range, response and interference immunity are offered by Spektrum's exclusive DSMR technology. Setting the end points for steering and throttle, setting four levels of brightness for the LEDs that indicate the SMART battery level.
Mock-up model details and a more robust steering system
The Losi Hammer Rey U4 is equipped with secondary shock absorbers with artificial cooling reservoirs, fire extinguishers, Magnaflow exhaust system, top LED light bar, bottom LED light bar, LED headlights, fuel cell, artificial swinging rod, brake calipers with discs, side mirrors and more. To ensure steering stiffness and precision, along with increased safety, the steering servo mount and servosaver with gear mechanism have been modified.
Stiffer rear axle and independent front suspension
The rear suspension of the Hammer Rey RC model, allows it to absorb massive bumps and bumps during driving as realistically as a full-size U4 off-road racing car. The rear axle housing includes a third piece that has new larger diameter pinion bearings and a stronger upper rear arm mount for added durability. The front independent suspension has been carefully engineered, so the Hammer Rey can now ride confidently over difficult terrain. Fully independent suspension allows each side to react accordingly, providing greater control and more precise steering and handling.
Precision positioned engine bed and oil adjustable shock absorbers
The motor is mounted on an aluminum motor bearing with a series of marked holes that allow you to easily adjust the gear mesh clearance for different pinion sizes. It is recommended to carry out regular checks on the engine as it contains rotating components that need to be cleaned and preserved regularly. But it repays you with high durability and consistent performance. Long-stroke shock absorbers do a fantastic job of absorbing energy during high impacts and jumps. The threaded shock bodies are fitted with adjusting sleeves so you can fine-tune the preload settings of the coil springs. Hammer Rey has installed a high torque servo S614S MG (steel) WP, with a torque of 15kg. cm and 23T thousandths.
Stiffer rear axle and independent front suspension
The brilliant LED lights on the integrated light bars provide more than enough illumination for night riding. Plus, the body-mounted LEDs put very little strain on the battery, allowing you to drive well into the night. The 1-speed transmission, as well as the front and centre differentials, are weather-sealed and designed to cope with the use of the high-performance brushless motor in rough terrain. M1 gears further increase durability. Three differential options allow you to set up your Hammer Rey to handle any track conditions.
Battery storage at the rear of the chassis and longer wheelbase
The innovative rear battery insertion feature allows battery replacement quickly, easily and without the inconvenience of removing the bodywork. Just slide the battery under the rear axle into the box and secure it against ejection. The Rey platform uses the longest wheelbase yet to provide greater stability at high speeds, which, in conjunction with the work done by the AVC electronic stabilisation system, allows the throttle to be pushed all the way down. Full performance with AVC technology
The receiver's integrated AVC (Active Vehicle Control) traction control system works behind the scenes, making hundreds of throttle and steering adjustments per second, so more engine power is translated into actual speed and acceleration, instead of just raking the wheels. Patented AVC system gives a higher level of performance, that you simply won't find on any car model from any other manufacturer other than Horizon Hobby. Just like traction control in your full-size vehicle, you can activate or deactivate the system on the fly and adjust the stability level according to driving conditions. Any RC car can go fast, and with AVC you can go faster while maintaining optimum stability in all driving conditions.
Officially licensed
American racing driver Casey Currie is a successful and well-known personality in off-road racing. One of the reasons Casey Currie and his U4 race machine work so well on the Rey platform was the independent front suspension and solid rear axle. The same combination was used in the RC model and it is great, the performance and handling will not disappoint.
