Scrabble Travel
The original version of the famous and popular board game for 2-4 players was created more than 80 years ago. It was introduced to the world in 1938 by the American architect Alfred Mosher Butts. Who doesn't know the typical game board reminiscent of an undeciphered crossword puzzle with a hundred white outlined letters. The Mattel brand now comes with a travel version. You can play it on the plane, on the train, at the campsite or in the mountains. The game board is equipped with a grid that keeps the letter stones in place. So the game will go anywhere with you. The Scrabble board game is suitable for children from 8 years old.

Simple Scrabble - you'll understand the rules in no time
The rules of Scrabble are simple. The aim of the game is to score as many points as possible for the words you create. But of course, your opponents will be checking you closely to make sure you're not making them up. If there is any doubt about a word, you can turn to one of Scrabble's online dictionaries to quickly resolve the dispute.

Our version of Scrabble: The Czech translation had to be re-edited
For the original Scrabble, Alfred Butts had to study the frequency of each letter in the English language. He used the front pages of The New York Times as his source of information. But in our language we have a different frequency of letters. Therefore, when Scrabble was published in Czech, everything had to be redone. In addition, letters with accents were added, so the proportions had to be adjusted to keep the total number of letters, which is always the same in all language versions: 100.

Game rules
Rules of the board game Scrabble Travel:
In Scrabble, you form words using obodovaných letters. Their value depends on how common they are in the language. The longer the word or the less frequent the letters, the more points you get.
Each player draws 7 letters at the beginning and places them on a stand so that others cannot see them.
The game starts with the person who pulls the lowest letter in the alphabet out of the bag. These letters are then returned to the bag. One of the letters of the first interpreted word must be in the centre box.
Then the players take turns in their turns. Each person can add any number of letters from their stand to the existing words. At the end of the turn, he draws enough letters from the bag to have 7 on the stand again.
It always adds points for each whole, newly formed word (e.g. by adding a word parallel to another word, other words can be created), i.e. for their own letters and for the letters inserted in previous moves.
There are premium spaces on the board where points are multiplied. You also get a bonus for using all 7 letters from your stand at once.
In Scrabble, the game only ends when the bag runs out of letters and none of the players have anything left to prove from the board stand.
