Dosage and method of use

Infants and children are given 1 ml of the preparation 3 times a day in the first days. You can reduce the dose by half after the acute discomfort has improved. Adolescents from 12 years of age in the first days take 2 ml of the preparation 3 times a day. The recommended dosage of the preparation for adults is 2 ml of the preparation 3 times a day in the first days. Hylak forte is taken before or during meals with plenty of liquid (non-dairy), water, tea, orange or apple juice. Do not mix Hylak forte with milk and dairy products, their precipitation may occur. Infants whose exclusive diet is milk are given the drug between breastfeeding orbreastfeeding, it is possible to mix it with a little water or baby tea.

Contraindications

Hylak forte is usually well tolerated. Rarely, however, hypersensitivity of the skin and mucous membranes and very rarely mild stomach or intestinal upset may occur. If you notice any unusual reaction, please tell your doctor or pharmacist. Read the package insert carefully. The medicinal product contains lactose. If you know you are intolerant to certain sugars, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Storage

Always keep the product out of the sight and reach of children. This product does not require any special storage conditions. Shelf life after first opening maximum 6 months. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the box and blister after EXP. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.

A balanced representation of individual microorganisms can also be achieved to a large extent by a suitable diet. Conditions of general exhaustion, a markedly increased susceptibility to infection and certain skin diseases such as acne and eczema may be related to an imbalance of the gut microbiota. If it occurs, e.g. as a result of a dietary error, an unusual diet or when takingantibiotics, Hylak forte contributes to its restoration. It contains a unique complex of metabolites of beneficial bacteria that effectively contribute to the restoration of the intestinal microflora.

Diarrhoeal diseases

Diarrhoeal diseases are faithfully accompanying people throughout their lives, in the frequency of occurrence they are second only to respiratory tract infections. Diarrhea is characterized as frequentemptying of loose stools (three or more loose stools per day). Depending on the provoking causeit may be accompanied by some other symptoms, like fever, nausea, Vomiting, pain in the stomach, sometimes even headaches, muscles and joints. From a practical point of view, diarrhea can be divided intochronic, which lasts 14 days and longer - in this case, experts recommend visiting a doctor, and acute diarrhea, that arises suddenly, is very often caused by infection, mainly by avira bacteria and usually lasts 1-2 weeks. Infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract can affect different parts of the tract, namely the oesophagus, stomach, small and large intestine. The most common infectious cause of diarrhoeal diseases in our conditions are the bacteria avira. Infections caused by parasites can also occur during or after travel to the subtropics or tropics. The vast majority of these diseases begin with diarrhoeal stools. However, the causes of diarrhea can also be non-infectious. The occurrence of loose stools can occur after dietarychanges, after taking certain medications (e.g. antibiotics), in some diseases, after radiation in cancer patients and also in some poisonings, e.g. mushrooms. Treatment of diarrhoeaTreatment of diarrhoeal diseases depends on the symptoms, difficulties and the cause of the disease. In general, the most important step is rehydration - fluid replacement, which should cover both the needs of theorganism, as well as fluid losses caused by diarrhea. Infants and toddlers have the highest basal fluid requirement, and this requirement decreases further with age. The necessary amount of fluids should be discussed with the pediatrician. The recommended daily fluid intake for an adult with diarrhoea can be 3-4 litres or more. Black tea, unsweetened mineral water or rehydration solutions from the pharmacy are suitable. Diet should be another part of the treatment. Food should be non-greasy, non-salty, tasteless. Experience needs to be spared. What else helps? There are a number of anti-diarrhoeal products available on the market, such as intestinal adsorbents (substances with the ability to bind a significant amount of substances to their surface, thereby helping to remove toxins from the body); eubiotics and probiotics (they help with repopulation of the intestine with beneficial bacteria, can affect the duration and frequency of diarrhoea), intestinal disinfectants are given for diarrhoea with a presumed bacterial cause and inhibitors of intestinal motility (they act as "slowers" of intestinal movements). Antibiotics are usually not necessary for mild or moderate diarrhoeal diseases.
