With the ICY BOX IB-1817M-C31 external USB-C enclosure for M.2 NVMe SSDs, the sensitive data on your installed M.2 SSD can be protected from changes with a simple switch. The write-protection switch can be moved to the desired position with the supplied mini tool and a small flick of the wrist. A special aluminium alloy makes this enclosure very stable and protects it from external damage. The patented cooling plate transfers the resulting heat from the SSD to the case and cools it optimally. This prevents premature reduction in transfer speeds and protects against overheating. With this external enclosure, data can be permanently sent from point A to point B at a maximum transfer speed of up to 10Gbit/s. The enclosure supports all common NVMe SSD lengths (22×30/42/60/80), is operating system independent, and is suitable for a range of applications, such as high-speed storage, cloning a drive, or running a mobile operating system.
