Panoramic picture with the Jabra PanaCast 55 VBS conferencing device
The system uses three integrated cameras, which together capture the space at a 180-degree horizontal and 54-degree vertical angle. The resulting video has a resolution of 3840×1080px, so everyone present is visible, even when close to the walls. The digital zoom offers 6× magnification without significant loss of detail. A physical camera cover is included to protect privacy when not in a meeting.
Advanced sound system with eight microphones
Voice clarity during calls is maintained by eight built-in microphones with a sensitivity of -37dB and a frequency range of 100 to 16000Hz. Beamforming technology focuses audio reception directly on the person speaking and suppresses ambient noise. The speaker system consists of four units, including two 2cm tweeters and two 5cm mid-woofers. The total RMS power is 20W, and the speakers evenly fill the entire room with sound across a frequency range of 80 to 20000Hz.
AI features for the Jabra PanaCast conferencing device
Integrated processors handle both video and audio in real time and adjust transmission parameters. The intelligent zoom function automatically changes the frame to include all participants present. The people-counting system provides an overview of meeting room occupancy for space management purposes. The echo cancellation feature prevents unpleasant feedback during calls and improves speech clarity.
Touchscreen for easy control
The set includes a built-in display with a 25.6cm (10.1") screen size. The touchscreen operates at a resolution of 1920×1200px and is used for direct control of conferencing functions. Users can start meetings, adjust the volume, or switch video sources without connecting an external computer. This control panel simplifies interaction with software platforms directly from the meeting room table.
Connectivity, management and installation options
The device supports Wi-Fi 5 wireless connectivity in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, as well as Bluetooth version 5.1. For wired network communication, there is one RJ-45 Ethernet port with Power over Ethernet support. The physical interface also includes HDMI, two USB Type-C connectors, and one USB Type-A. Wireless content sharing uses standard AirPlay, Google Cast, and Miracast protocols from mobile phones and laptops. The video bar is 730mm wide, 146mm deep, 77mm high, and weighs 2.26kg. The design can be mounted on the wall, and enhanced cable management helps to hide connecting wires. Administrators can perform setup and maintenance remotely via a web interface or cloud management. An integrated temperature sensor and humidity sensor monitor the physical conditions in the room during operation.
