JANOME Skyline S5 AE

The Janome Skyline S5 AE electronic sewing machine is designed for creative sewing. It was created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Skyline series. The machine has 496 sewing programmes, which include basic, decorative, overlock and stretch stitches.

Stitch selection and personalisation

The Janome Skyline S5 AE sewing machine has 496 types of stitches in its memory, among which you will find basic, stretch, overlock and decorative options. For personalised projects, you will appreciate the built-in alphabet with Czech characters and Cyrillic script. Creative possibilities are further expanded by the mirror flip and stitch elongation functions, which do not compromise quality. The stitch width can be set up to 9mm and the length up to 5mm.

Controls and automatic functions

Control the machine using the clear LCD display and the START/STOP button for sewing without a pedal. You can smoothly regulate the speed with a slider or use the Slow Motion function for detailed work. The machine is equipped with a range of automated features, such as the automatic thread cutter, which can be programmed for the end of a seam. Other functions include automatic backtacking, needle positioning and seven-level presser foot pressure adjustment.

Construction for work

The workspace measures 21cm. Smooth and precise fabric movement is achieved by the seven-point SFS+ feed system, which can be disengaged if needed. The rotary hook ensures quiet operation, and the entire work area is illuminated by six LED lights. A practical addition is the knee lifter, which frees up your hands to handle the fabric while it lifts the presser foot.
