JVC GZ-RY980

The JVC GZ-RY980 combines the durability of outdoor cameras with the popular features of classic handheld camcorder. It offers water resistance when submerged in water to a depth of 5m without needing an additional case. It is dust-proof, freeze-proof, and shock-proof from a height up to 1.5m. It offers higher performance than action cameras, with up to 10x optical and 200x digital zoom so you can easily zoom in even distant objects and details without sacrificing image quality. The JVC GZ-RY980 uses a backlit 18.9Mpx CMOS sensor that is responsive even in minimal light levels. Other great features include WiFi connectivity and an advanced optical stabiliser to suppress image shake (usable when shooting in HD mode).

Shoot in 4K and Full HD

With the JVC GZ-RY980, you can choose to record at 4K (70mb/sec) or capture Full HD shots in AVCHD format. When shooting, modern features such as face detection, image stabilisation, or time-lapse capture can be used. The swivel touchscreen display makes it easy to operate the JVC GZ-RY980, and its high-capacity battery will let you capture more than 4hrs of continuous recording.

WiFi for Camera Remote Control & Wireless Data Transfer

The JVC GZ-RY980 also adds WiFi functionality to its arsenal, which lets you control it without having it in your hand. Using the mobile applications for Android and iOS, you can monitor the image taken by your camcorder in real-time on your phone or tablet, and remotely start recording at any time. WiFi also allows you to wirelessly transfer shots from the camera to other devices. The WiFi adapter is not included with the JVC GZ-RY980 and has to be purchased separately.
