KEF Q7 Meta Speaker

Passive floorstanding speaker for a stereo setup and home cinema

The KEF Q7 Meta is a 3-way floorstanding HiFi speaker that allows you to easily create a high-quality stereo setup or a surround sound home cinema. With a power output of up to 200W and a 3-way design, you can use it as the main speaker for listening to music or as the front channel of a home cinema. A 12th generation 4" Uni-Q driver, complemented by two separate 6.5" bass drivers, ensures a detailed, natural, and evenly dispersed sound. The KEF Q7 Meta speaker also uses MAT technology, which absorbs up to 99% of the unwanted sound radiating from the back of the tweeter, resulting in greater purity and less distortion. A precisely tuned crossover, developed from over 1,000 measurements in an anechoic chamber, ensures accurate signal distribution between the drivers and optimal final delivery. The KEF Q7 Meta offers a frequency range of 39Hz to 20kHz, 87dB sensitivity, a maximum acoustic output of 110dB and is suitable for amplifiers with a power of 15 to 200W. Thanks to the ability to combine it with other Q-series speakers and KEF subwoofers, you can easily create a surround sound setup to suit the size of your room and your requirements, while a colour-matched magnetic grille protects the drivers and maintains the speaker's elegant appearance.

KEF Q7 Meta delivers pure sound without unwanted resonance

The KEF Q7 Meta speaker uses advanced Metamaterial Absorption Technology, which absorbs up to 99% of the unwanted sound radiating from the rear of the tweeter. The specially designed structure acts as an acoustic labyrinth where individual channels absorb unwanted frequencies and limit their negative impact on the final performance. This means the speaker will offer you purer, more natural sound with more accurate detail reproduction and lower distortion.

Speaker with Uni-Q driver for more impressive surround sound

The KEF Q7 Meta uses a 12th generation Uni-Q driver, which places a 19mm tweeter in the acoustic centre of a 4" midrange driver, thus acting as a single point source of sound. This design allows for a more even dispersion of sound into the space and creates a wide, coherent soundstage. Thanks to Uni-Q technology, you will enjoy a clean and detailed performance not only in the ideal listening position but also in other places in the room.

Balanced sound from deep bass to clean highs

The KEF Q7 Meta floorstanding speaker uses a 3-way design that precisely distributes high, mid, and low frequencies among the individual drivers. This allows each driver to focus on its frequency band, which contributes to a cleaner, more balanced, and more detailed final performance. You will enjoy music, films, and games with distinct details, natural mids, and impressive dynamics.

The KEF Q7 Meta offers deep bass thanks to a pair of 6.5" drivers

Thanks to two 6.5" bass drivers with a hybrid aluminium cone, the KEF Q7 Meta can reproduce deep yet precisely controlled bass. The design of the drivers helps to maintain a solid and clean performance even at higher volumes, allowing you to enjoy prominent bass lines when listening to music and impressive sound effects when watching films.

info

System type

An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier in its body, and to listen, you just need to connect it to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly.
Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are intended more for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent transport. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect a variety of sources through a separate amplifier.
info

Number of channels

The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent sound signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in the X.Y format (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). It denotes how many audio tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the spatial experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and above).
