It supports ECC Registered technology and features a capacity of 8 GB. ECC technology monitors transparently and in real time the integrity of data stored in memory. It can find and fix an error in a single bit and detect and error in two bits. In cooperation with ECC memory, some memory controllers can even repair errors of larger scope. Most server boards require memory with ECC support.

Registered memory is equipped with a controller that controls access to individual memory modules, thus reducing the workload of the memory controller on the motherboard or in a processor. Externally, memory behaves as a single module - register chip - which is responsible for writing and reading of individual memory cells, and informs the controller solely about the outcome of these operations. This increases the efficiency of memory access as well as the processing speed even when more memory modules run simultaneously. Some server boards require registered memory.
