KORG G1B Air WH

KORG G1B Air WH
With the G1B Air, KORG has created a truly unique digital piano, featuring technology from the sound engine of the award-winning KRONOS and a meticulously designed keyboard that is finely graded from a delicate pianissimo to a resonant fortissimo. The first thing you'll notice is the G1's stunningly slim profile. However, there are no compromises on its top-quality sounds. KORG's CONCERT series sets a new standard for digital pianos. It is designed to faithfully reproduce the sound and natural playing feel of one of the world's most famous concert grand pianos. Pedals are an integral part of playing the piano, which is why the G1 offers all three. The damper and soft pedals also support half-pedalling.

The sounds of the three best concert grand pianos
The cornerstone of the KORG G1 is the sound of three renowned concert pianos, each with its own unmistakable character. KORG selected one piano from each of three renowned manufacturers from Germany, Austria and Japan. The German piano, with its characteristically clear highs and resonant bass, guarantees an unparalleled piano experience. The Austrian piano has a warm yet distinctive tone. The Japanese piano is characterised by its dynamic tone and is used in a wide variety of musical genres, from classical to jazz to pop.
Incredibly realistic sounds thanks to multi-layered samples
To make the sound as close to the original as possible, the playing dynamics are continuously analysed and the current tone is selected from different sets of samples that correspond exactly to those dynamics. The playing style—whether it's a delicate pianissimo or a powerful fortissimo—is instantly and faithfully reflected in the instrument's resulting tone. The G1's sound is utterly comprehensive, including a realistic emulation of the Damper Resonance effect, which is the specific resonance of an acoustic piano's strings when the damper pedal is pressed (for GP1/2, AP1/2, and JP1/2 sounds). When the damper pedal is released on a classic piano and you press notes of the corresponding tuning, the strings of the instrument begin to resonate in unison. The G1 perfectly mimics this effect, further contributing to the realistic sound of all three grand pianos on offer. The key-off simulation generates the reverberation that occurs the moment the player releases a key.
Bluetooth audio playback
Simply connect a Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a smartphone, to the G1 Air and you can start playing the piano along with the music stored on your device. And when you're not playing the piano, you can use the G1 Air as a powerful Bluetooth speaker system.
Sophisticated and elegant design with a back panel
The back panel added to the latest model enhances the feeling of quality and overall solidity of the instrument, and also provides privacy when viewed from the front. The modern design is also distinguished by its very compact dimensions, with a depth of only 29cm. The keyboard is protected by a retractable cover, which turns into a full-sized music stand when opened.
A great playing experience with the RH3 keyboard
The G1 is equipped with a Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) keyboard, which precisely evokes the playing feel of a real grand piano's keys, where the key stiffness gradually decreases from the lower to the upper notes. The keyboard is completely precise, even with rapidly repeated notes or in intense, expressive passages or chords. You can also adjust the keyboard characteristics to suit your needs (in light, normal, heavy, stable, or fixed modes).
New speaker system with high power output
Two large speakers located under the keyboard act as a monitor, directed straight at the player, while higher-frequency tones are output through a pair of speakers situated above the keys. In combination with the natural resonance of the cabinet, this arrangement ensures a very high-quality and natural sound, similar to that of traditional analogue instruments. The amplifier section provides 20W of power for each of the four speakers, giving you up to 80W of the highest quality sound.
32 top-quality sounds and studio effects
In addition to the three concert grand pianos already mentioned, the G1 also offers the sound of an electric piano, organ, clavinet, acoustic guitar, strings and many other sounds, bringing the total number to 32. You can also customise the individual sounds using three types of professional effects: Brilliance, Reverb and Chorus. Each sound already includes optimal effect settings.
Various keyboard setting modes
With a single press of a button, you can assign a bass sound to the lower register of the keyboard. Playing the melody with your right hand and the bass with your left is ideal for jazz styles, for example. By pressing two Tone buttons at the same time, you can easily layer sounds on top of each other. For example, you can combine piano and strings, so that a single note will sound the piano with a string orchestra backing. There is also a proven partner mode that splits the keyboard into two identical sections (left and right), each with its own damper pedal. This is a great tool, especially for teachers and students when practising, or for playing duets.
Forty piano pieces suitable for practice
In addition to ten demo songs that demonstrate its sound capabilities, you'll find another 40 piano songs on the G1 that are ideal for practice. To make practising easier, you can set the tempo, play the right and left hands separately, or use A-B repeat to practise more complex phrases.
Two-track recorder for recording your songs
You can record your playing on the two-track recorder to back up your songs and listen to them later. You can record each hand separately or add a track to a previously recorded song. The playback tempo of the recording can be adjusted and up to 99 user songs can be stored in the instrument.
