KORG Modwave Module
The modwave module offers the unique features of the modwave mkII in a compact 19" desktop/rack format. The modwave module builds on the legacy of the KORG DW-8000 and translates it into a modern, powerful synthesizer with versatile all-round wavetable oscillators, fantastic-sounding filters, almost unlimited modulation possibilities, huge polyphony, complex pattern sequencing and intuitive control options. This instrument ensures the creation of unique, great sounding and easily customizable sounds and phrases.

60 voices polyphony and extended functions
Like the modwave mkII, the modwave module offers a polyphony of 60 stereo voices, which is almost twice as many as the original modwave (32 voices) and is exceptional in the context of wavetable synthesizers. In addition to pitch bend and modulation wheels, the modern 4U rack format offers the same controls and buttons as the keyboard version, but is far more portable, saving space and fitting into any studio or home studio. In addition, the reverb sends now have a pre/post switch, new modulation sources and much more. The Modwave module is fully compatible with the sounds and samples of the original modwave, modwave mkII, as well as modwave native software and third-party libraries.
MIDI 2.0 and polyphonic aftertouch support
Thanks to recent software updates, all versions of modwave, whether hardware or software, support the MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange standard and offer easy access to polyphonic aftertouch, making them ideal for use with the KORG Keystage MIDI 2.0 keyboard.
Flexible rack mounting and desktop use
The control panel has been redesigned to fit into a standard 19" rack and the rear connections have been positioned so that cables are still easily accessible even when another rack is mounted directly above it. When used on a table, you can choose two different adjustment angles: flat for standing performances or angled for comfortable seated work.
