The Korg nanoKEY Fold MIDI controller serves as a portable interface for entering music data and controlling music software on computers or mobile devices. A folding design makes it easy to carry in a pocket or smaller bag, while providing full-sized controls when unfolded. This folding instrument offers twenty-five membrane-technology keys for quiet and precise note input. The device supports plug-and-play functionality for quick connection to various platforms without the need to install complex drivers. The design allows it to be easily folded in half, reducing the dimensions to 17×73×147mm. When unfolded, the keyboard measures 14×73×282mm and weighs 0.126kg. Thanks to its compact dimensions, it easily fits into a pocket or backpack, making it easy to work on the go.

Quiet membrane keyboard
The Korg nanoKEY Fold MIDI controller uses quiet membrane technology to eliminate mechanical noise when keys are pressed. There are 13 velocity curves to choose from, allowing you to tailor key sensitivity to your individual playing style and strike force. The octave shift ranges from -4 to +4, while key transposition can be adjusted from -12 to +12 semitones to suit any key signature.
Creative features
The built-in arpeggiator offers 15 different patterns and 6 arpeggio types across a range of 1 to 4 octaves. You also get 15 scale types, complete with visual guidance from LEDs. In chord mode, you can easily assign entire harmonic structures to individual keys. The arpeggiator lets you set the speed from 1/1 to 1/64 and note length from 1 to 15 to create precise rhythmic structures.
Touch sliders and split mode
Two touch sliders provide smooth modulation and pitch bend. The split function divides the keyboard into two independent zones with an adjustable split point from C#1 to C3. The sliders can trigger specific notes within your selected scale. The Control Change message range is 0 to 127. Splitting the keyboard makes it easier to play with both hands, using each part to control a different sound register.
Connectivity options
Connectivity to other devices is provided by a USB-C interface and a TRS-MIDI connector. Power is supplied directly via the USB bus from a 5V DC source with a minimum current of 550mA. The included TRS-MIDI DIN adapter ensures compatibility with older gear. You can select Auto, Internal or External-USB modes for the MIDI Clock source to synchronise with external hardware or recording software.
Accompanying software bundle
With the Korg nanoKEY Fold MIDI controller, you get access to licences for music software and educational apps. The bundle includes tools such as Ozone Elements from iZotope, the Skoove learning system and Korg software synthesisers. Interactive keyboard lessons in the Melodics app are also included. These tools and tutorials help you create, mix and master tracks, or develop your playing technique at any level.
