Kraken Black 2Y 0,7l 40%
A long, long time ago, somewhere in the heart of the Caribbean, a cargo ship carrying a supply of spiced rum mysteriously vanished. Legend has it that it was seized by the Kraken, a mythical sea monster with giant tentacles, razor-sharp teeth and a hearty appetite. And while it may just be a story with not a grain of truth to it, the respect for the deep sea remains. Kraken Black Spiced Rum is a blend of Caribbean pot-still rums infused with 13 secret ingredients. The rum's dark colour is attributed to the ink the Kraken uses to blind its victims. The less romantic version is that it’s the signature of the oak barrels in which the rum matures, and the caramel. But why spoil the story? Enjoy the excellent Kraken Black on your own or with friends.
The taste of Octopus Rum
The dark brown, almost black, Kraken Black Spiced Rum has aromas of caramel, allspice and cloves. On the palate, it is pleasantly sweet with distinct notes of vanilla, ginger and pepper. You can enjoy it neat over ice or in rum cocktails. Try a Red-Eyed Kraken with coffee liqueur, chilled espresso and a pinch of cayenne pepper. This spiced and delicious rum is simply a delight for all the senses. That includes the very impressive bottle, a replica of old Victorian ones. The Kraken Black has two handles for easy pouring and its label is adorned with a graphic of the giant kraken and the unfortunate ship that paid the price for this encounter. And where there's a Kraken, there's darkness.
